Pemberton Creek Community Garden

The Pemberton Creek Community garden began in 2005 as a Village of Pemberton initiative with 20 garden plots. Over the years, the garden has joined forces with us and grown to 75 plots! The garden is also home to our Grow-It-Forward Garden that grows food for the Pemberton Food Bank and is used as a teaching plot and community space.

Communal tools are stored in a hand-built garden shed with a green roof. A greenhouse is available to all members of the garden. Each garden plot measures approximately 10 x 20 feet and includes water taps and hoses equipped with spray nozzles.

User fees for plots are $50.00 per year, and members are expected to help (at least) in the garden’s biannual spring and fall clean up.

Garden Expectations

With membership comes responsibility - every garden plot owner must agree to a list of requirements that includes:

    • Organic gardening only (no chemical fertilizers)

    • No fruit trees, berries or corn to be grown (bear attractants)

    • No invasive species or plants that are considered prohibited/controlled (as defined by Canadian and BC law) to be grown

    • Only plant Pemberton Seed potatoes

    • No dogs in the garden

    • Keeping plots weeded

    • Generally being respectful to their neighbors

Due to high interest, all plots are currently sold out.

Those interested in obtaining a plot can email pemcommunitygarden@gmail.com to join the waitlist.
