2025 Fruit Tree & Farm Food Rescue Project Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Project Coordinator to lead the Pemberton Fruit Tree Project and assist with the Farm Food Rescue Project. Both of these projects work to rescue and/or harvest produce that would otherwise go to waste from local farms and gardens. These projects enhance community food security through redistributing this produce to the Pemberton community. For the Fruit Tree Project, an added benefit of the harvests is decreasing human-bear conflict by managing wildlife attractants like fruit trees. The Farm Food Rescue Project fills the gap between local farm produce overflow and significant produce needs at the Pemberton Food Bank.

This position involves coordinating volunteer efforts, community outreach, fruit and vegetable harvesting, and food donation logistics. The successful candidate will play a vital role in strengthening local food systems, reducing human-bear conflict, supporting food security, and contributing to environmental sustainability.

Working Conditions:

● Schedule: Part-time, seasonal position with flexible hours.

● Location: This role involves a combination of remote office-based work and field-based activities around Pemberton.

● Compensation: $28/hr contract. Fixed contract fee of $5500CAD.

Application Deadline: April 1st, 2025, or until the position is filled.

Must have valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
